Acidity of mesoporous Mo[O.sub.x]/Zr[O.sub.2] and W[O.sub.x]/Zr[O.sub.2] materials: A combined solid-state NMR and theoretical calculation study
Article Abstract:
The acidity of mesoporous Mo[O.sub.x]/Zr[O.sub.2] and W[O.sub.x]/Zr[O.sub.2] materials is studied by using a combined multinuclear solid-state NMR technique and density functional theory (DFT) quantum chemical calculations. The detailed structures of Bronsted sites formed on the surface of the mesoporous catalyst are revealed and the predicted acid strengths of these sites are in good agreement with experimental observations.

Using trimethylphosphine as a probe molecule to study the acid sites in Al-MCM-41 materials by solid-state NMR spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted where trimethylphosphine (TMP) is used as a medium molecule to investigate the nature of acid sites in a series of Al-MCM-41 materials by the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy method. (super 31)P magic-angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy strongly supports the formation of zeolitelike Bronsted acid sites in the mesoporous material after the incorporation of aluminum.

Solid-state NMR spectroscopy of anionic framework aluminophosphates: A new method to determine the Al/P ratio
Article Abstract:
A novel method to determine the AI/P ratio of open-framework aluminophosphates was established that is helpful for the understanding of unknown aluminophosphate structures. A series of anionic framework aluminophosphates that had different AI/P ratios were characterized by different solid-state NMR techniques.
